I do not know a lot about mediterranean food but this is a good spot if I get the craving for lamb, baba ganoush? and other greek foodies. The cafe is in a nice spot on college ave and you can choose to eat inside or outside. I always get the mixed plate which gives you a nice sampling of everything they have to offer. It sometimes mixes together but it always tastes good in the end. They have a sweet baklava which is really good along with their hummus and baba ganoush? It's a good spot to take friends if they haven't had greek food before.

I got the Middle Eastern Plate for $9.95 that comes with chicken cilicia, grecian spinach & feta, levant sandwich, and lule kebab or chicken pomegrante. Served with choice of green salad or american potato salad or cup of soup. Hands down the chicken cilicia fillo was the best, so freakin' good. mm mmm mmm...I am def going there again.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of La Med! I enjoy the Noe St location and when I want to get my shop on, with some yummy food in-between, I head over to the Fillmore St location. So I'm one of thoose city people that scuff at the idea of "going over the bridge" for an outing! So I bite my tongue and headed over to La Med to begin my Sunday outing. So when we get there and they don't have La Med's perfect sized lunch menu, which I have ordered from the other two locations on weekends, I knew this place was "different". When I asked the waitress why no lunch menu, I was told it was now only dinner. It was 1:15pm! Okay, so I ordered my fave, the chicken kabab with the yummy lemon chicken soup. The other two locations prepare the soup like a puree. Feels great going down! The Berkeley soup was chunky and lumpy with whole pieces of chicken and pasta. The kebab was dry and didn't have that great taste that I'm used too. The lemons were good! In a nutshell, I'll stick to this side of the bay for my La Med fix!

I've eaten at all locations of this restaurant over the years and have always enjoyed my meal. In addition, they have a great menu of catered items, such as chicken cilicia and tiny spanikopita, which I like to get as finger food for parties.
