The Berkeley Art Center puts forth art exhibitions and pieces as diverse as the culture of the city itself. From past exhibits like "HOME EC," where crafts and activities traditionally relegated to the housewife are turned into art, to a full gallery of the works of world-famous fiber artist Kay Sekimachi, the center shows a blend of the art forms and styles that are shaping the world today. It is at Live Oak Park in northern Berkeley, about a mile north of the University of California-Berkeley.
